In 2015, a group of professionals met at the Paris Bar Association to lay the foundation for IELA. After three years of work, in 2018 the Association International des Avocats du Travail or the International Employment Lawyers Association -in English-, was registered in Paris, from which we adopted the acronym IELA.
IELA is currently registered with the Registry of Associations of the Prefecture of Paris under file number W751244568.
IELA's goal is to provide a framework for exchanges among labor lawyers and jurists in the social domain, as well as academics and other judges from around the world. It is constituted as a link between individuals and administrations, acting as a liaison and a permanent place of reflection.
Through this network, we help our partners to increase their client portfolio and their promotion and prestige in an international environment, as well as provide a permanent space for exchange and services for our partners.
IELA is directed by an Executive Committee chaired by a renowned labor leader. The presidency is currently held by Mr. José Luis Roales Nieto, a labor lawyer in Spain since 1997 and in France since 2014, founder and former president of ASNALA (Spanish Association of Labor Lawyers) and Executive Director of Roales Nieto & Asociados.
Jose Luis Roales has more than 22 years of experience in labor and social security counseling for both workers and companies, which allows him to have a global vision of all labor and social security regulations, as well as a solid knowledge of workers' displacement and expatriation, and labor income taxation for SMEs and large corporations involved in international labor mobility.
The objectives that marked the future of IELA include its total global expansion, with a network present in the five continents, the multiplication of partners and the development of the largest technological network supporting professionals in the legal world.
